708M40, also known as EN19, is a high tensile alloy steel, often hardened or tempered to the ‘T’ condition.
With a combination of good ductility and shock resistance, 708M40 is suitable for applications with very high loading such as engine gear boxes. It is renowned for its wear resistance properties and where high strength properties are required.
